Feedback from annual RSG Impact Report highlights positive impact on families

Our annual Ready Steady Go Impact Report is now complete and available to our families.

The survey was carried out over a 4-week period in March 2025 and 79% of our families took part. All survey responses were anonymous.

This year’s report highlights the positive impact Ready Steady Go has on our families as a whole.

Of those surveyed, 95% of parents agreed they had built new friendships/social connections through attending Ready Steady Go, whilst 78% agreed their mental health had improved and their family feels more resilient.

“RSG has provided a lifeline for myself and our family which goes beyond the weekly sessions”

This year’s survey introduced questions for siblings of Ready Steady Go members. RSG recognises the importance of allowing siblings to attend sessions with their autistic brother or sister in order to prevent isolation.

85% of parents said that it was important to them that their autistic child’s siblings were able to attend these sessions.

92% of the siblings stated that they enjoyed spending me with their autistic brother or sister at Ready Steady Go.

Below are some comments from parents who took part in the survey.

“”Watching the friendships my daughter has made fills me with joy”
“RSG is totally amazing, they give our kids confidence to play and be themselves without judgement. This is priceless”
“RSG has given us opportunities to try new things that we would perhaps not have had. It’s given us confidence as a family. The ability to go swimming or to gymnastics without ‘looks’ from other families. Also, the social element of interacting with other parents who understand our challenges”

A huge thank you to all those who took part in this years report. Your feedback is invaluable and helps us to shape the future of our club.
