Our Charity Manager & Founder, Tracy Rowland, has been honoured with a British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to Children and Young Adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
Ms Rowland founded the charity after her son, Coby, was diagnosed with autism and began to find life increasingly difficult, aged eight. RSG was set up to help others like him and their families, giving children with learning difficulties a place to relax in a safe and understanding environment.
Ms Rowland told the South Wales Argus that she is “overwhelmed and very very thankful” by the Honour.
She said: “It’s my job, it’s just what I do.
“I’m overwhelmed and very very thankful, without a shadow of a doubt, and absolutely honoured but it’s a little bit overwhelming.
“Compared to my daily life, to be awarded this – they seem so far away from each other.”
A huge thank you to Tracy for all she does for our Ready Steady Go families!
