About ReadySteadyGo
At ReadySteadyGo (RSG), we understand how crucial it is to provide regular opportunities for children with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and their parents or carers to engage in activities that promote their development. Our goal is to assist these children in developing social interaction skills, forming friendships, and gaining confidence and independence so that they can achieve their goals based on their unique abilities and reach their full potential.
One of the key benefits of our program is the integration it provides. RSG offers autistic children the opportunity to interact with their peers and become a part of their local communities. This integration helps to alleviate feelings of isolation that children with ASC often experience.
Our club is a safe, comfortable, positive, and considerate place where young autistic children can come and have fun. We aim to create an environment that fosters social interaction and friendships through fun opportunities and supported play.
We believe that every child has unique needs and desires, which is why we tailor our toys and play equipment to encourage fun play and interaction. Our themed sessions help children learn about different topics while enjoying play and encourage participation in sports.
We also organize group trips to places of interest, with the support of volunteers and support workers, to provide opportunities for families to connect and build relationships. Our ‘Caterpillar’ awards empower all children to achieve their goals based on their abilities, with encouragement, support, and positive praise at every step.
Parents and carers can enjoy playing with their children and siblings in a relaxed environment and socialize with others at our club. We also develop an ‘Expert by Experience’ peer support group for parents and carers to share experiences and information, access training, and broaden their knowledge.
We are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of autistic children and their families. Our club is where everyone can feel empowered to grow, learn, and achieve their dreams.
